Articles of the Week

Students will be completing Articles of the Week in all my classes. We will be using the website Readworks for digital articles and Articles from Vale Middle School. Articles will be assigned and due on Wednesdays so students have a week to complete this assignment.

Big thank you to the teachers at Vale Middle School who put together these fabulous Articles of the Week and post them on their website for teachers everywhere to use.

If you are not familiar with Articles of the Week (AoW), they are a great way to get students reading and interacting with lots of interesting and current informational texts.

Again, articles are due most WEDNESDAYS. Click paper icon for the Readworks site or the pencil for a link to Vale Middle School's website to gain more information.

Keep those AR points coming…

This year, seventh grade students only need to earn 15 A.R. points and read one Young Hoosier book per trimester, while Honors students are expected to earn 25 A.R. points.

Accelerated Reader points are another part of a student’s Literature grade and work in conjunction with their 120 Second Presentation at the end of the trimester.
