Media Center marketing with the Promethean Board

I first saw Promethean boards at conference over 12 years ago, and I have loved them ever since. I used them throughout my teaching career and was very excited when a portable one was ordered for the Media Center.

Of course, it is used for meeting presentations, student work, and occasional Nintendo Switch battles. However, when it is not being used by others, it is a wonderful way for me to display information and market some of my latest books.

I screen share it with a Chromebook, so I don't even have to be by it to run it. I created Canva presentation with my Instagram posts and let it run all day.

For new books, I try to create New Book Alerts that I post to Instagram and then the Promethean. Here's a couple templates...

Sometimes I animate them so I just make sure to loop their playback in the presentation mode of Canva.

You Had me At Hello Display

Great First Lines of Books

I've seen several versions of this display online and on Pinterest, but one of the best ones is from Kelsey Bogan's Blog Don't Shush Me! I wanted a digital version for my board, so I took her template and made it my own. Here's a free template of it for you to use and make your own.

Let me know if you find any of these helpful or have your own versions. I always love new ideas!
